Easter Egg Drop

A local church was hosting an Easter Egg Hunt.  We had heard about it too late last year, so we decided to head over this year.  The field was marked off in 3 sections for different age groups.  Under Preschool, Preschoolers and Older kids.  We had a hard time getting out of the house on time and really should have planned better, but we finally made it there, ran across the field while watch a helicopter drop 10,000 easter eggs onto the field.

We rushed across to our age group just in time to turn around and go back to where we were.  We could have stayed where we were, but didn't want to get yelled at by the angry parents who had been waiting there for over 45 minutes to be "first in line".  Seriously folks?  It's just easter eggs.  But apparently, it is taken very seriously.  Anyway, the kids were so excited about the helicopter.

When they called out our age group to start, it was insanity!  Someone dropped their smartphone of sorts and instead of reaching down to get it (and possibly get trampled), they looked down, looked back up, grabbed their child in their arms and started running.  Mayhem, I tell you.

We got quite a few eggs and vowed never to go to it again. It was an experience that only needed to happen once.  The kids enjoyed it for the most part though, and it really is all about them, right?

Poor little one was just tuckered out.

Moms Club Easter Egg Hunt

We decided to join a mom's club that is in our area.  It is full of fun moms and tons of kids. The first event we went to, to check it out before joining, was an Easter Egg Hunt. It was a little cold and drizzly, but the kids enjoyed running around outside (until they stopped and started to whine because it was cold and they wanted to eat all of their candy).  I seriously need to learn how to adapt to the winter and summer months here, otherwise my kids will never see the natural light without a thick sheet or two of glass between them.

Daddy Time!

Helping Daddy and spending time with him is a favorite time of the day!  Even if you have to improvise!  Monkey is just now starting to like being on the mower, because she can drown out the noise!  Love how they puff out those cute cheeks!!
He can't wait for this to be his job in quite a few years!

MOPS Easter Egg Hunt 2011

We had a lot of fun gathering at the Easter Egg Hunt for our MOPS group.  The kids ran around, the moms could talk and worn out kids, we had!  Phew!  What a blast!

Why must she always do the "drunk" face when I want "cute" face?
Flying a kite
It's up! It's going up!
Bummers!
Someone had a lot of fun!  Have NO clue how this much dirt got on his face!
You wiped my face before you took a picture. HIS is dirty, MINE's NOT!!
Yeah, but you're clean and he's not!

Tiny Tim

I had a little Turtle,
His name was Tiny Tim.
I put him in the bathtub, to see if he could swim.
He drank up all the water.
He ate up all the soap.
And when he woke up in the morning, he had bubbles in his throat.

He said, "Bubble, bubble, bubble. Bubble, bubble, bubble. Bubble, bubble, bubble.  Bubble, bubble... POP!"

I hosted a craft day during Spring Break.  It was a beautiful day, so we were able to do some crafting, playing and eating inside and then playing outside.
