This morning, our church services were canceled. I believe it is because most of the roads aren't salted enough and the parking lot isn't clear. They held one service, but we weren't going to fight everything to get there, so we had our own church service this morning, at home.

It started after breakfast with Sweet Pea leading us in some Worship on his guitar. Jesus Loves Me, The Walking Song and of course Batman and Robin were sung with joyous voices and great care! Then, The Hubster read a bible story which kept the kid's attention (they love reading and they love the bible, so no surprise there). They enjoyed being involved with the story and answering questions, etc.

After the story, we had a few more songs led by The Hubster on guitar...

and then Sweet Pea and Monkey "drove" us home from church. Sweet Pea made sure we were all buckled in, in the backseat and of course had to make a stop at Stuffmart (Walmart) to get a few things before heading home for lunch.

It is always so interesting to me to see what the kids pick up from us as far as routine goes and what matters to them. I loved watching them while they listened to the story and listening to what they learn from it. Not an hour went by before I could hear one of them recounting parts to the story. Sweet, sweet children who just love living life. I couldn't ask for anything more!
I love that you had church at home. The kids are so cute. I miss them so much. and you guys too! We may be in Nashville in June. From the 10 - 15th. maybe we can get together. I would love for the little ones to play. -Jan
ReplyDeleteWe would LOVE to see you if you come in June! We miss all of you too! They love looking at pictures of yours and I try to tell them stories of how they would play together! Just let us know what your schedule is! We shouldn't have anything really going on during that time. And you all are more than welcome to come to our place for a meal or two since I'm sure eating out isn't always great! Let's talk more about it! Can't wait! :)
